Я постоянно забываю, почему я люблю "Экстремис". А потом смотрю.сцены с Мисси и… ну…

И с каждым разом больше понимаю взаимосвязь.всех линий этой серии через "In darkness, we are revealed.".

В первый раз я с самого начала была уверена, что Доктор поможет Мисси. Но ведь м.б. я думала о Докторе лучше, чем он сам о себе. Ктнечно, все хэдканоны равно, и всё же хочется узнать, как оно на самом деле. И как кажется другим.

Я почему-то думала, что "Экстремис" написана рньше, но нет:

Around the middle of the last series when my mum was dying and then died – that was awful. I was writing [episode six] Extremis and still had the two-part finale and this Christmas special to go. And I was thinking that the only thing that’s keeping me going at all is that I can see the finish line. I’m just crawling towards that.

Наверное, следовало догадатся, раз уж серия начинается словами: "Death is an increasing problem", а кончается отстрелом всех персонажей. Ну то есть вообще всех. Кроме злодеев. Нда, еще час назад, пока я не задумалась, я считала эту серию достаточно жизнерадостной.

BILL: You're all going to Hell..
Это она кардиналам и прочим сотрудрикам Ватикана за то, что сорвали ей свидание.

Это, конечно, самая любимая цитата вообще. Особенно с интонацией и мимикой Питера Капальди:
NARDOLE: You're an idiot.
DOCTOR: Everyone knows that.

ANGELO: Very few know this place exists. The library of blasphemy, the Haereticum.
BILL: Harry Potter!
DOCTOR: Language!
Вот что считает неподобпющим Доктор? Упоминание ГП или считание ГП ересью? В общем, любит ли Доктор ГП?

Моффат повторяется и пусть. Когда похожее (но короче) было в "Библиотеке", то нравилось в Библиотеке. Потому что в библиотеке же - очень логично! А когда снова вижу здесь, то в восторге здесь - так подробно и реакции-то там не было так видно:
.RAFANDO: You cannot do this. You will not leave this planet alive.
DOCTOR: Do me a favour. The Fatality Index. Look up The Doctor.
RAFANDO: You have an entry, just like any other sentient being.
DOCTOR: Under Cause Of Death.
(Rafando works his wrist computer. It ticks rapidly as it runs through all matching entries.)

(The ticking keeps going, and speeds up.)

Вот такое очень и очень. Особенно даже потому, что Билл вряд ли влюблена в Доктора. Потому что граница между любовью и дружбой неочевидна. И love is not an emotion, love is a promiss. Любовь это очень широкт. Так что это безумно круто:
BILL: Just give him his sight back! You can have the world. Just make him see again. I consent.

К сожалению, сюжетные дырки несколько мешают. Но реальные обстоятелства создания этой серии исключают жалобы от слова совсем.

Steven Moffat told Doctor Who Magazine that with only days to go before shooting on this story began, his mother suddenly took ill and died — he was working on the final draft next to her hospital bed. Had this personal tragedy not happened, he would have had time to hash out the details of and refine the sсript with co-writer Peter Harness.
